You’ve probably heard of the Great Commandment, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself” (Luke 10:27). In fact, some of us have heard it so much that we’ve become numb to it. But imagine for a moment how different your neighborhood and our cities would be if everyone who professed to be a follower of Christ actually took Christ’s command to love our neighbors seriously and literally.
In addition to time, a second obstacle to loving our neighbors is fear. Fear not only changes how we see others, but also what we assume they think about us. In this final message of our series Love Where You Live, Pastor Logan reminds us that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of…love” (2 Timothy 1:7).
