Our Mission

Our mission is to turn Utah upside down for Christ (Acts 17:6) through the formation of biblical communities, organized as a congregation of house churches, committed to obeying the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our Strategy

Our strategy is to bring the Gospel into neighborhoods through believers in those neighborhoods.

As a result, those neighborhoods will experience the love of Christ as those believers find practical and tangible ways to bless them and will see the love of Christ modeled as they gather together in homes around the Word, in fellowship, around the table, and in prayer.

Intentionally meeting in homes allows our gatherings to maintain 1) a size where meaningful community can develop and mutual discipleship can take place, 2) a simplicity that requires minimal overhead or programming, and 3) a style that emphasizes full participation and shared responsibility.

In this way, the spiritual cancers of indifference, spectatorship, and consumerism are combatted and instead each believer is enabled to identify and develop his or her spiritual gifts and to make a unique contribution to what God is doing in Utah.

Our Gatherings

Our gatherings meet every Sunday. They are informal and relationally centered, with one of our goals being to help you find meaningful community with others who will encourage you in life and support you as you follow Christ. There is always food, sometimes a full meal and other times just refreshments, and time to sit and talk, before we pray and open the Word.

Though each group has a leader, they are there primarily to facilitate the gathering. Everyone is encouraged to participate by asking and answering questions, sharing experiences, reading Bible passages, and offering prayers and words of encouragement.

Each gathering will typically close by taking the Lord's Supper and collecting and distributing an offering to help meet any needs we're aware of. On average, our time together is two to two and a half hours.

Every couple of months, all our gatherings come to together for a joint service in order to celebrate all God is and has been doing in our church as a whole. The location and times of these services change.
